asmartbajan August 16, 2011 at 12:24 PM: Yep, what you’re saying is a fact that is becoming more and more widely known. I have a Brother HL-4040CN and usually put tape over one of the windows of new cartridges before installing them. That way, I won’t have to be interrupted midway in a print job by a half -empty toner lying to me!

(Just be sure the tape COMPLETELY covers the window and that it won’t fall off and get into the works of the printer.)
